Our story.
We've been an independent vehicle hire firm from day one.
It's hard to believe it's been more than 20 years – but time flies when you're having fun.
Our story starts in 2002. As Daniel Bedingfield climbed the charts and Brazil hoisted the World Cup, we opened a small, family-run company called Northumbria Hire.
Cars weren't on the agenda back then. We specialised in renting minibuses to local schools, colleges and private individuals – as well as motorhomes to holidaymakers.
Slowly but surely, we grew.
Then, in 2019, we acquired another local firm called Metro Vehicle Hire and became MVH Rental.
A lot has changed since 2002. We now have a bootload of experience and hundreds of happy customers. And our fleet has grown to around 90 vehicles, including cars, vans and minibuses of all sizes.
But some things never change. We're still proudly independent. We're still family-run. And we still offer competitive rates and friendly, professional customer service – just like we did on day one.
